Spinach Patties


2 chopped onions
3 chopped garlic cloves
1 package (300g) of frozen chopped spinach
100g sliced almonds
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
½ spoon nutmeg
100g crumbled feta cheese
3 eggs
1½ cups bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil (for frying)


Defrost the spinach and dry it well. Sautee the onions and garlic cloves until golden. Mix the onions and garlic with the spinach, almonds, parsley, nutmeg, feta cheese, eggs, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Refrigerate this mix for approximately 1 hour. Once cooled, form small round patties. Heat some oil and fry the patties.

The patties can be enjoyed immediately or stored in the fridge for future pita sandwiches.
